I’m Michelle -
I currently live in the KC area with my furry sidekick, Preston, and have a soft spot for Italian food, culture, language, sports, and wine.
After eight years in ad sales at a sports network in Chicago, I craved a culinary adventure abroad. With thoughtful consideration and a leap of faith, I packed my bags and landed in Florence, where I spent almost two years studying Culinary Arts at Apicius School of Hospitality. I was fortunate to intern at a refined Tuscan restaurant, the student-run eatery, and even for a Serie A professional soccer team. It was an unforgettable experience.
Since returning to the States, I’ve balanced a day job with my ever-growing passion for food—whether it’s organizing seasonal Italian dinner clubs with friends, hosting “Pasta Parties” to teach fresh pasta-making, assisting chefs at a retail cooking school, or volunteering at community food banks.
